Hi there, i am using php and HTML to do up a contact us form. I understand that with the <textarea> header I can give a nice message box where the wordings doesn't get hide behind the screen as it's wrapped nicely with sufficient space. However, I would want to keep the value of the form intact on their message to allow user to edit the form before submitting it again. How can I achieve the textarea box with an input tag?

PHP : Redirect user back to LoggedIn page after logging in

I have problem coding for SESSION approach using in index.php (login page) 

to redirect user into 
output.php (Dashboard page) after logging in.

For example, 
After logging in, User accidentally close browser while in output.php url and forgot output.php url.
User open up index.php url and it redirect user back to output.php url.

However,  my code for 
deny access to the user 
and
redirected to login page when they haven't sign up when typed index.php (login page) url works just fine.

The recording was taught the COOKIE approach instead of SESSION approach.

Although it is not in the assignment requirement to redirect to output.php even after logging in, as it only require to redirect user back to index.php if they attempt to reach output.php without logging in, I like to know more using the SESSION approach.

Is there a difference when deleting cookies using the PHP setcookie() Function by using "0" or "false" as Boolean values instead of using an empty string (like this " ")?

Hello everyone!


My question is on deleting a cookie using the setcookie() function in PHP, when the first argument is boolean (aka true/false).

In the logout.php file, the following code is used and it works (note the second argument which is an empty string " " to mean the first argument "isLoggedIn" is now valueless:


// Delete the cookie for isLoggedIn
setcookie("isLoggedIn", "", time() - 3600); // Delete the cookie for isLoggedIn


However, since in the login.php file, we set cookies as such:


// Set cookies
setcookie("isLoggedIn", true, time() + (86400 * 30));


where the "isLoggedIn" is a boolean (with "true" as the argument),

will it make a difference if in the logout.php file, we do this (note the second argument "0"):


setcookie("isLoggedIn", "0", time() - 3600); // Delete the cookie for isLoggedIn


OR this (note the second argument "false"):


setcookie("isLoggedIn", "false", time() - 3600); // Delete the cookie for isLoggedIn


instead?

When I tested it, both the alternatives work the exact same way.

But my question is, is there any other differences between the first and the other two methods? Or is it just a matter of personal choice/company culture?

How to set Gender Male to show the word "Male" when I echo it from radio button?

When i am in my output page the gender is show as "on" >??? I dont see any word on.
